Bereits hat Lea ihr 1. Zeugnis erhalten. Sie meistert die Schule gut und hat grosse Fortschritte gemacht. Seit den Herbstferien geht sie 1x pro Woche in die Ergotherapie. Sie liebt diese Stunde sehr. Auch mit Logopädie wurde wieder begonnen. Die Skiferien haben wir alle sehr genossen. Lea meistert auch die steilen Pisten und ist eine richtige „Fräserbohne“. Den Winter hat Lea gut überstanden. Zwar hatte Lea 2x Scharlach (wie auch Patrick), aber von der Grippeoder anderen Infekten wurde sie glücklicherweise verschont. Die letzte kardiologische Untersuchung im Februar zeigte keine wesentlichen Veränderungen. 

Lea receive already her 1. Certification from school. She handles the school well and she made large progress. Since the autumn holidays she goes 1x per week into  Ergotherapie. She loves this hour. Also Logopaedie begun again. We all enjoyed our Ski holidays very much. Lea also drives down the steep runways and is a correct "drill bean". Lea had 2 times scharlach (also Patrick), but from the flu or other Infections she was fortunately spared. The last cardiologist check in February did not show substantial changes.

Lange Zeit ist seit dem letzten Eintrag vergangen. Die kardiologische Kontrolle im August 07 zeigte eine Zunahme der Verengung unterhalb der Aortenklappe. Der Kardiologe konnte nicht ausschliessen, dass die Verengung ev. sogar an der Klappe selber sein könnte. Im Februar 08 wurde dann mit einem neuen, genaueren Schallkopf nochmals alles genau angeschaut: Es ist wieder das gleiche Problem wie vor den letzten 2 OP’s. Wird bald wieder eine Operation nötig sein?  Bald bekamen wir grünes Licht: unsere Sommerferien in den USA können geplant werden. Eine Operation war also nicht sofort nötig.

Am 11. April fand dann das Orientierungsgespräch mit dem Kardiologen statt. Der Chirurg, Prof. Prêtre, will so lange wie möglich mit einer OP warten. Das heisst, so lange die Verengung  nicht zu eng wird, und sich der Herzmuskel nicht verdickt, wird abgewartet.Lea wird im August wieder kontrolliert und man wird von Kontrolle zu Kontrolle sehen, wie sich das ganze entwickelt. Wir hoffen sehr, dass die OP noch lange nicht nötig sein wird, wissen aber, dass der Tag kommen wird.

Lea besucht die 2. Einschulungsklasse und befindet sich auf Kriegsfuss mit den Zahlen. Im Moment wird sie gerade wegen ihrer Rechenschwäche abgeklärt mit dem Ziel, dass sie in der 2. Regelklasse Unterstützung erhält. Alle 2 Wochen ist sie bei Frau von Allmen in der Ergotherapie, was ihr (meistens) Spass macht.

Seit einer Schnupperlektion im Tennisclub Schinznach will Lea unbedingt Tennis spielen. Nach einer weiteren Stunde werden wir  definitiv  entscheiden, ob Lea den Tenniskurs während der Sommersaison besucht oder möchte sie vielleicht doch lieber reiten...?

Ihre Freizeit verbringt sie am liebsten mit ihren Kolleginnen und natürlich bei Omi mit ihrem liebsten Freund, Banjo.

It’s been a long time since our last entry. The cardiologic check-up in August 07 showed an increase of the constriction below the Aorta valve. The cardiologist couldn’t rule out the possibility , that the constriction, maybe the on the  valve itself . In Feb. 08 they checked once again and thoroughly with a new, more accurate transducer. It’s again the same problem as before the last 2 surgeries. Will she need another operation soon? Soon we got the go-ahead for our summer vacation in the USA. Surgery wasn’t urgent..

On April 11 we had a talk with the cardiologist. The surgeon, Dr. Prêtre wants to wait for surgery as long as possible. Meaning, as long as the constriction doesn’t get too tight, and the miocardial doesn’t thicken, they want to wait. Lea will have another check-up in August and they want to check how it all develops. We hope very much, that surgery won’t be necessary for a very long time, but we also know – the day will come.

Lea is now in her 2^nd  school enrollment class, and is at war with numbers. At the moment they are checking regarding her problems with math with the goal, that she gets support in 2^nd grade with her math. Every 2 weeks she goes to Mrs. Von Allmen in occupational therapy. Most of the time (not always) she enjoys going there.

Since she had a trial course in Tennis Lea wants to learn to play tennis during the summer season or maybe horseback-riding...?????

In her free time she loves to be with her friends and – of course – with Omi and her best friend Banjo.

We are happy, no surgery is necessary at the moment and we all look forward to our 4 weeks vacation in the USA in July. 

Lea besucht die 3. Regelklasse im Dorf. Unterstützung erhält sie von der Heilpädagogin vor allem in Mathematik. Sie fühlt sich in ihrer Klasse wohl und ist gut integriert.
Am Montag geht Lea ins Geräteturnen in Oberflachs, was ihr viel Spass macht. Das Highlight alle 2 Wochen ist das Reiten in Thalheim. Lea liebt Tiere über alles (Mit Ausnahme von Spinnen). Am liebsten hätte sie einen eigenen Hund, muss sich aber mit unseren 2 Hasen begnügen.
Alle 6 Monate wird sie vom Kardiologen kontrolliert. Die Verengung an der Aortenklappe ist immer noch das aktuelle Thema. Solange keine Insuffizienz der Aortenklappe (Undichtigkeit) und keine starke Verdickung des Herzmuskels vorliegt wird mit der OP zugewartet. Wir hoffen natürlich, dass dies noch lange nicht soweit sein wird.

Lea visits the 3rd class in our village. She receives support  from the welfare teacher,  mainly in mathematics. She feels well her class  and very good integrated. On Monday Lea takes gymnasticsclasses , she has a lot of fun. The highlight every 2 weeks is horse riding in Thalheim. Lea loves animals over everything (with exception of spiders). Most of all she would have her own dog,  two rabbits has to do it. 
Every 6 monthsshe has to be controlled by the cardiologist. The narrowing of the Aortavalve is still the current topic. No insufficiency of the Aortavalve (leakage) and no strong enlargement of the heart muscle are present. I looks like we stil can waite with an surcery. We hope of course that this will last for a long time....
